It's a Blue Bird: Staffordshine County Council

Everyone made a huge fuss when the First Group started using Blue Bird School Buses in the U.K. but even though they did it first nobody seemed to notice when Staffordshire County Council introduced them some time before that to save money as some of the local coach operators were taken to court for running a cartel between themselves to maintain good rates. This R-Reg example was from the first of two batches.

  1. These Staffordshire Blue Birds look entirely different to First's examples.

Hasn't Staffs now moved away from Blue Birds and diversified into Scolarbuses?

  2. Yes they have and they now seem to outnumber the Blue Birds. Altogether there are something like 30-35 in the school bus fleet but the Scolarbuses are not thought of very highly being somewhat troublesome. For you I will post another image of both types soon.
