I think this also was Dec
23rd many years ago perhaps 1981 as I was in Liverpool that day for I was close friends with poet Carol Ann Duffy in those days whose Birthday it was and here she was living with Adrian Henri I
always loved this spot for taking photographs and especially as it was
about the last haunt of the Ribble PD3's on Aintree's Old Roane and
Litherland routes. With lots of ugly shopping development nearby sadly
this attractive corner was to lose the rather splendid St Johns House
too as just like the last Ribble 'Tanks' it's days weres numbered as
shortly it would be turned into another scruffy open air car park. Of
course the Atlanteans had many years to go which was a good thing as the
'Scouser Streets' don't sound the same without them.
