An Ikarus at Gorlitzer Bahnhof

After the Berlin Wall came down not only did the people need reuinification so did the transport system with rail line extensions and new stations near The Wall. But at least the spoilt West Berliners got a taste of what it must have been like to squashed into a noisy lumbering Ikarus from the East. Most did not survive long in the new world but a few lingered on for a while and besides were not very old anyway. Now numbered 5891 with BVG one of these not too unlikable buses does a rail replacement service in Kreuzberg.
