Traditionally Eastbourne Corporation had been a nice mix of smart AEC and Leyland buses with mostly East Lancs bodies. By the Eighties there were still plenty of East Lancs bodied Leylands and this being the age of 'opo' they were suitable Atlanteans and ideal for the elderly low-entrance rear-engined Panthers like this By this time the AEC buses had all gone but Leyland didn't have it all to themselves as the Dennis Dominator made an appearance here with nine examples before some Olympian coaches arrived..
