Long Queues at Exeter Paris Street Bus Station

I've heard that like Bretonside Bus Station in Plymouth, Exeter Paris Street has gone too. I've visited here many times and I always liked it and especially in the days when the lower coach station was properly open and one was free to roam. Stagecoach buses impress with their newness but there is not much variety in this highly standardised fleet of Alexander-Dennis Enviros.

  1. Exeter bus station is still open, though the adjacent bus garage has been demolished,. The bus station is still scheduled to be demolished and the latest closure date is 28 October.

  2. Thanks Padbus, I knew it's fate was pretty well made up. Was this the site of the previous bus station as well?

  3. The previous bus station (before the one in Paris Street) was in Paul Street. The site is now occupied by the Harlequins Shopping Centre.

  4. Thanks, I will have to look it up and I remember the original Devon General garage which wasn't very far from here either. Exeter was a bit of a treat with an interesting Corporation and of course Greenslades.
