Many know my more recent genre Buses and Girls photography as those earlier buses I really like have all gone so now I enjoy my bus hobby more for the photography. As well as being an artist I owned a small transport business before I retired but today I have a little job too driving a minibus dong a school run to Wolverhampton in the afternoon and occasionally other jobs. It gets me out and about and satisfies my childhood ambition to drive a bus.

East-Lancs bodied Dennis Dart with London Central
These East-Lancs bodies on the Dennis Dart were mostly found on Drawline Group buses but notable exceptions were these for London Central like this one here at Lewisham loading for Camberwell Green..
As ever, your pictures evoke an atmosphere now long gone. Not only have these DEL class buses disappeared, so has Lewisham bus station, now largely built over and with a longer walk between the bus stops and the once-adjacent railway station. As for yesterday's fantastic picture at Pool Meadow, I doubt there is any point of reference left to match it to the site today. Thanks again for sharing these images with us.
Thanks Sheilsman, each time I take a photo like this I think it might be a bit ordinary but as time goes on it will become more interesting. Talking of being boring I've had people come up to me and tell me what I'm doing is stupid but it is hobby photographers like myself who leave a record behind us of how it was. Yes I always try to get a bit more into my shots.
