A Contrast Premier Travel Volvo B58M E361 NEG and E365 NEG at Heathrow

I expect most people with time to kill before their flight from Heathrow Airport would head for the Duty Free area and enjoy the perks setting them on their way. Of course being a bus enthusiast the busy comings are goings here are almost worth a visit in itself. Two Premier Travel Plaxton B10M coaches are in different liveries but I know which one I prefer!

  1. The National Express liveried one is working PT's own service 78; I can't make out the display on the the PT liveried one but wouldn't be at all surprised if it's working for NX! Either way, PT would have been eating some fines from NX for that use.

As for the vehicles, personally I prefer the Green Line (Jetlink) coach behind. Shame all those got rebodied as buses after deregulation.

  2. Ross it was the end of an era wasn't, suddenly they didn't seem to need all those local express coaches any more yet the former Green Line network could have done with better vehicles than Lynx's and even Nationals heading for the Capital in the rush-hour. It's a pity the Berkhofs didn't go to Independents as they were far to good to rebody..
