Arriva VDL 3704 in Wolverhampton

This Wright bodied VDL was allocated to the 1 and 2 Service from Cannock to Walsall but were  replaced by new 'Saphire' Streetlites. Since then they have appeared on most jobs including trips to Wolverhampton.

  1. Christopher your photography continues to excell with brilliant images it is a long time since this service was the 265 and started in Dudley Bus Station in the 1970s when you look at the pathetic state of the route today it's hard to believe now it was one of the main trunk routes in The Black Country of both WMPTE and Midland Red as its 865. Just an aside Diamond Bus will be restoring the (1)44 ,to a half hourly frequency between Northfield and Bromesgrove from June from a previous great photo of the X43.

  2. Thanks Client Boy, yes sadly the bus network has become not just patchy but holed as well. As for the bus in the photograph it would have been going to Cannock on the 70.
