Busworld Photography

Many know my more recent genre Buses and Girls photography as those earlier buses I really like have all gone so now I enjoy my bus hobby more for the photography. As well as being an artist I owned a small transport business before I retired but today I have a little job too driving a minibus dong a school run to Wolverhampton in the afternoon and occasionally other jobs. It gets me out and about and satisfies my childhood ambition to drive a bus.

Articulated buses in Bern FBW 252

I expect I would come to terms with the acid-red colour scheme to be found on Bern buses today were I to pay a visit. But as it stands I don't like it much much prefering the traditional military-green and green colours which suited the architecture and old-fashioned feel of Switzerland's tiny Capital. I guess the undertaking wanted to show it was forward thinking and modern which is something I admit can't be said for this FBW articulated bus of the Sixties and still in all-day service in 1989

Christopher Leach Transport Photography

christopher
I am probably better known for my bus photography than my work as an artist which is about right as being fairly contented I don't do much drawing these days. My love is the older buses in Britain that I grew up with but keep my interest in buses alive through my love of photography. The streets are not as friendly as they were to photographers but having transitioned as Jojo bus drivers tend to stop and smile for me instead of making rude gestures.
