Busworld Photography

Many know my more recent genre Buses and Girls photography as those earlier buses I really like have all gone so now I enjoy my bus hobby more for the photography. As well as being an artist I owned a small transport business before I retired but today I have a little job too driving a minibus dong a school run to Wolverhampton in the afternoon and occasionally other jobs. It gets me out and about and satisfies my childhood ambition to drive a bus.

Stevenson's Tiger UVT 14X at POPS

Last Autumn I had an enjoyable ride around the Potteries on this former Bassett's Leyland Tiger which was XBF 423X. It's a shame they didn't re-apply the rising sun motif instead of a fake destination box. A nice reminder of much missed Stevenson's all the same.

Christopher Leach Transport Photography

christopher: I am probably better known for my bus photography than my work as an artist which is about right as being fairly contented I don't do much drawing these days. My love is the older buses in Britain that I grew up with but keep my interest in buses alive through my love of photography. The streets are not as friendly as they were to photographers but having transitioned as Jojo bus drivers tend to stop and smile for me instead of making rude gestures.
