BUSWORLD PHOTOGRAPHY

I AM CHRISTOPHER LEACH THE ARTIST. I started this blog so that I can share with everyone my vast collection of transport photographs showing a personal and nostalgic view of the industry with images that span some 45 years taking in the U.K and some of Europe. I have no darkroom and so rather than being the perfectionist after tidying them up I upload the images warts and all, and even those that won't scan squarely or are scratched. In a way it adds age and character. You are all free to download these for your personal use but please remember I still own them and you are not just free to use them without prior permission for any knd of publishing. Click on images to enlarge them and if you want to see more leave your comments or visit my website for the mother-site with galleries including those Buses & Girls: PICTUREWORLD

Portugal: AEC Regal

My Cosmos Coach Tour of Portugal in 1984 took us for one night's stay to the historic fortified town of Evora with it's striking white-washed buildings and narrow streets. It didn't look as though it had been very long since the local buses had become part of the Nationalised RN Concern and the orange and cream paint still looked fresh on the buses. Well either that or they kep't them a good deal smarter than in other parts. In front working a town service is a narrow looking AEC Regal being followed by a little Albion.

WOW!!!
Very nice picture, Chris!
Do you have more from Portugal in the 80's?
Your pictures are all buses+girls or you also take photos of buses only?
By the way, the Albion behind was the 8025.

Hi Pedro, yes I have plenty more from Portugal to come from that same trip but as I only usually post one per day they'll be coming through quite slowly. Yes I like my views of buses and girls and I suppose I do about half and half. As for 8025 I thought that was worthy of a photo too and is yet to come. Thanks for your interest and keep visiting, and no doubt you will be able to correct my many errors. I'm glad I visited when I did, it was a great country.
