BUSWORLD PHOTOGRAPHY

I AM CHRISTOPHER LEACH THE ARTIST. I started this blog so that I can share with everyone my vast collection of transport photographs showing a personal and nostalgic view of the industry with images that span some 45 years taking in the U.K and some of Europe. I have no darkroom and so rather than being the perfectionist after tidying them up I upload the images warts and all, and even those that won't scan squarely or are scratched. In a way it adds age and character. You are all free to download these for your personal use but please remember I still own them and you are not just free to use them without prior permission for any knd of publishing. Click on images to enlarge them and if you want to see more leave your comments or visit my website for the mother-site with galleries including those Buses & Girls: PICTUREWORLD

Friday Thirteenth: Accidents will happen

This First-PMT Wright bodied Scania single-decker had obviously been in a nasty collision and was awaiting dispatch for repair at the company's Crewe Depot.

Stafford's Midland Red D9's seemed particularly prone to bad accidents and usually they happened between Stafford and Cannock on the main A34 which although quite straight is plagued with hidden dips from mining subsidence, some nasty crossroads, and even in daylight the occasional roaming deer.

right, i would like to knwo how you obtained this photo of the scania please?
I was on shift when that happened and i was the only one that got a photo of the scania and its identical to mine.
After the picture was taken i was ordered to block it up with other buses so photographers couldnt get near it to photo it.
This picture is identical to mine and if it is a copy of mine then i own the copyright as i have the original negatives.
If it is yours then how did you manage to get it as it was covered up with sheets????
No members of the public have viewed the bus???

I'm afraid you were not the only one to get a photo of this accident damaged bus. Take a good look at your photo they can't possibly be exactly the same can they! No it wasn't covered up either or blocked in.
