BUSWORLD PHOTOGRAPHY

I AM CHRISTOPHER LEACH THE ARTIST. I started this blog so that I can share with everyone my vast collection of transport photographs showing a personal and nostalgic view of the industry with images that span some 45 years taking in the U.K and some of Europe. I have no darkroom and so rather than being the perfectionist after tidying them up I upload the images warts and all, and even those that won't scan squarely or are scratched. In a way it adds age and character. You are all free to download these for your personal use but please remember I still own them and you are not just free to use them without prior permission for any knd of publishing. Click on images to enlarge them and if you want to see more leave your comments or visit my website for the mother-site with galleries including those Buses & Girls: PICTUREWORLD

Impressed: Here is the bus I drive!

SEIGHFORD
No not that one, it's not the nice big re-registered Plaxton bodied Volvo but the trusty little old Ford Transit cowering at the back. My employer Eagle Travel would let me have a much newer LDV to do my fifty-plus-mile school run in the afternoon but in the same way some drivers have always driven AEC or Leyland's I've always driven Transits. As a punishment any driver who bends their bus or lets it get scruffy will be given an older bus, so maybe as mine is the oldest mini-bus in the fleet if I do something wrong I will get something more new. Now that we are in the digital age I believe in taking plenty of these snaps as things change all the time and since this was taken a month ago we've moved premises from Seighford next-door to Stan Robinson back closer to home in Stafford.
