BUSWORLD PHOTOGRAPHY
I AM CHRISTOPHER LEACH THE ARTIST. I started this blog so that I can share with everyone my vast collection of transport photographs showing a personal and nostalgic view of the industry with images that span some 45 years taking in the U.K and some of Europe. I have no darkroom and so rather than being the perfectionist after tidying them up I upload the images warts and all, and even those that won't scan squarely or are scratched. In a way it adds age and character. You are all free to download these for your personal use but please remember I still own them and you are not just free to use them without prior permission for any knd of publishing. Click on images to enlarge them and if you want to see more leave your comments or visit my website for the mother-site with galleries including those Buses & Girls: PICTUREWORLD

Anyone for an Expresso?
Obviously this very impressive looking high-floored Volvo B10R coach with unknown bodywork belonging to Resendo Yiagans spent most of it's working life doing an express service between Portugal's two principal cities of Lisbon and Porto also stopping at historic Braga. On this occasion though it was occupied ferrying relieved tourists after some long journey to their hotel in Portugal's Capital where I was also staying that warm night in 1984.

Great photo! The company is called Viagens Resende. Viagem, plural Viagens, is sort of equal to the word Tours. By the way, the licence plate probably says RS-62-95. Did you know that in the old system all licence plates starting with N, P, Q, R, S and T were from the northern (Porto) region?
Hi Duarte you are correct it is RS-62-95, and no I didn't know how the registration system worked. One learns something every day. Thanks for you comments. Yes, I took a few coaches as well.
By the way, the logo beneath the windscreen that looks like a Neoplan logo, is the emblem of coach builder Alfredo Caetano.
The emblem of coach builder, is much the same logo from Neoplan anda Alfredo Caetano (now Starbus), but this emblem is from coach buider RAMP (not exist yet).
